Intro To Couponing

So many of my friends have asked me to host a coupon class. Well, after sitting down with Josh & trying to figure out a time when I can actually do it (when he is able to watch the kids) it's just not feasible in the near future at all since this is his busy season at work. So, I'm doing the next best thing and starting a blog to try to help you guys out. Hope you enjoy it!

First and foremost, you need to invest in a 3 ring binder and baseball card sleeves. This has saved me many a headache. It is the best and easiest way to organize your coupons. I sort mine by sections of the grocery store (i.e. produce, dry goods, household, dairy, frozen, and so on and so on). I also have sections in my notebook dedicated solely to store coupons to make those easier to find. I put any doubles that I may have in the same holder in order to free up space. I have tabs on each section to make it easy to flip right to the one I need. You should also print a copy of your stores' policies and put them in a sleeve in your notebook. That way if there is ever a discrepancy (i.e. store employee who doesn't know what they're talking about lol) then you have it right there in front of you to show them. I have one for each of the stores that I frequent. Lastly, put your name and phone number somewhere on your notebook. I learned the hard way by losing my notebook and about $500 worth of coupons once. Trust me, you don't want to be in that position. I was physically sick over it! I now keep one of my business cards in mine.

If anyone has anything else that they would like to add that has helped them, please feel free to do so! I am always looking for new ideas!

More to come tomorrow!!
